Fasting to lose weight just may be the answer that you have been looking for all of these years. If you haven’t tried fasting as a weight loss tool, you are really missing out. In my opinion it will beat any diet, magic pill, or other so called weight loss trick out there hands down. The biggest problem with fasting is that you are going to have to find something else to do with your money! No more diet pills, supplements, or fad diets to buy… Just results.
If you change nothing with your diet and do a 24 hour fast twice a week, you will lose more weight than you ever dreamed of. I am 41 and have been working out ever since I was 14. I was always muscular and in shape, but also could of stood to lose around ten pounds to look really tight and have nice abs.
In the early years, I struggled to gain weight and get more muscle, so losing weight was not an issue. As I got older, I started to gain a little fat around my waist. I still looked decent but not as good as I could of. Once I decided to lose the fat around my waist, it was more of a struggle than I had expected. I tried to cut my calories and eat strict, but that only lasted so long, because I soon gave in to temptation and started eating normal again.
I went through this cycle of eating good, losing some weight, and then gaining it back again for most of my adult life. I managed to stay within striking distance of good abs, but never really had them. I finally stumbled across intermittent fasting and the Eat-Stop-Eat way of fasting and the results were amazing!
I not only lost weight at an incredible rate, I was able to still eat whatever I normally did on my non-fast days and have stuck with it for close to a year now. I am in the best shape of my life at 41 and really feel that this is not a short term answer, but a long term solution. Once I started to lose weight and really jumped on this bandwagon so to speak, I have read and learned as much as I can about fasting. The best part about it is all of the other great benefits to fasting besides losing weight that I didn’t even realize.
